LINE Official Account Taiwan: new fees from 1 Nov, decide by 27 Oct
From 1 November 2026, LINE Official Account in Taiwan charges NT$1,000 a month for Medium and NT$1,400 for High (excluding tax). To avoid the new price, move to Light by 27 October; plans cannot be changed from 28 October to 2 November.
LINE Taiwan announced on 1 September 2026 that LINE Official Account monthly fees in Taiwan change on 1 November 2026: the Medium plan goes from NT$800 to NT$1,000 a month and the High plan from NT$1,200 to NT$1,400. The Light plan stays at NT$0. Message allowances and the billing cycle are unchanged. All prices exclude tax. The change applies to Taiwan; LINE Official Account prices in Japan did not change on this date.
Decide by 27 October
- If you don't accept the new price, change your Medium or High plan to Light by 27 October 2026. Staying on Medium or High after 27 October counts as accepting the new price from 1 November.
- If you pay by credit-card auto-renewal, LINE recommends adding a secondary payment method in LINE Official Account Manager by 27 October; it is charged if the main one fails. LINE suggests a different card.
- Plans cannot be changed from 28 October to 2 November. During a manager update from 8 am on 28 October 2026 to 2 November you cannot buy Medium or High, upgrade or downgrade, change the message cap, or upgrade manually after a failed 1 November auto-renewal charge; these are expected back from the afternoon of 2 November. A second update runs from 8 am on 24 November to 25 November (expected back from the morning of 25 November).
Before and after
| Plan | Until 31 Oct | From 1 Nov | Free messages a month | Extra messages |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light | NT$0 | NT$0 | 200 | Not available |
| Medium | NT$800 | NT$1,000 | 3,000 | Not available |
| High | NT$1,200 | NT$1,400 | 6,000 | NT$0.2 each for the 1st–50,000th, NT$0.15 each from the 50,001st |
Who is affected
- Accounts on Medium or High pay NT$200 more a month. Light is unaffected.
- Credit-card auto-renewals are charged the new price on 1 November; if the charge succeeds, the account keeps its plan with nothing else to do.
- Medium cannot buy extra messages: once its 3,000 messages are used, sending more means upgrading to High.
Which messages count
According to LINE, broadcasts, targeted messages and messages sent through the Messaging API (for example the Push API) count, except some API messages from reviewed features. Greeting messages, one-to-one chat, auto-responses, AI auto-responses and the Reply API are free. The count is sends × target friends: one broadcast to 500 friends is 500 messages.
Three ways to send fewer
- Let auto-responses handle routine questions and answer the rest yourself: neither counts. Our LINE reply templates (in Traditional Chinese) cover opening hours, prices and bookings.
- Target broadcasts at the customers they concern instead of every friend.
- Watch Japan time at month end: messages are counted in GMT+9, so anything sent after 11 pm Taiwan time counts toward the next day, and a broadcast late on the last night of the month counts toward the next month.
Our LINE Official Account pricing guide (in Traditional Chinese) has a calculator: enter your friends, broadcasts and push messages to see the suggested plan and monthly fee.
Tools that send for you count too
Customer-service systems, booking reminders and AI assistants that send by push use your message allowance. So does NEXUPIRA's Rex: Rex drafts a reply, you approve it, and it is sent by push, so every one counts toward your account's messages.
