What to put on the quote
- Vehicle, registration, mileage and reported issue.
- Parts: OEM or aftermarket, with part numbers.
- Labor hours and rate.
- Approval for extra work, warranty and pickup deadline.
Common mistakes
- Doing extra repairs without approval.
- Not saying whether parts are OEM or aftermarket.
- No storage fee for cars left after completion.
Deposit, balance and validity
Payment on collection. Extra work found during the repair is quoted and approved before it is done. Parts and labor warranty stated separately; storage charged after 3 days.
