OEM buyers compare unit prices, but tooling, MOQ and shipping terms decide the real cost. Put them on the quote, with Incoterms, so nobody misreads who pays what.

What to put on the quote
- Specification, materials, tolerances and certification.
- MOQ and price breaks, tooling ownership.
- Sample approval, lead time and quality inspection.
- Incoterms (e.g. FOB or EXW), currency and payment terms.
Common mistakes
- Quoting unit price without the MOQ.
- Not stating who owns the mould.
- No Incoterm, so shipping and duties are argued later.
Deposit, balance and validity
30% deposit on order, 70% before shipment is common; tooling paid upfront. Quote valid for 30 days in the stated currency; material price changes may require re-quoting.
