What to put on the quote
- Servings, tiers, size, flavours and fillings.
- Design reference and what details are included.
- Allergens and storage instructions.
- Pickup or delivery time, and setup at the venue.
Common mistakes
- Accepting design changes two days before.
- Not stating allergens.
- Delivering without a signed handover.
Deposit, balance and validity
50% deposit to book the date, balance a week before. Design changes accepted until 7 days before. Deposits are non-refundable within 14 days of the event.
Questions people ask
How far ahead should I book?
State your lead time, e.g. 2–4 weeks for tiered cakes.
Can you match a photo exactly?
Say that designs are inspired by the reference, not identical copies.
Who is responsible after delivery?
Responsibility passes on handover; include storage instructions.
