What to put on the quote
- Number of meetings, hours on the day, team size.
- Which vendor costs are included and which the couple pays directly.
- Timeline, rehearsal and run sheet.
- Deposit, payment schedule, postponement and cancellation.
Common mistakes
- Mixing your fee with vendor costs.
- No limit on hours on the day.
- No postponement clause.
Deposit, balance and validity
A booking deposit (30–50%) secures the date and is non-refundable; the balance is due 2–4 weeks before the wedding. Quote valid for 14 days unless the date is booked.
Questions people ask
Do you take commission from vendors?
Say whether you do. Couples trust planners who are transparent about it.
What if we postpone?
Write how a new date is handled and whether the deposit transfers.
Is the rehearsal included?
List it, with the time on site.
