Custom Furniture Quote Template
Custom furniture lives or dies on the drawing. Put dimensions, materials and finish on the quote, and say what counts as a change once the timber has been cut.
No sign-up. Totals, tax and deposit are worked out for you; print it or save it as a PDF.

What to put on the quote
- Overall dimensions, internal layout and a reference drawing.
- Wood species or board, edge banding, hardware brand.
- Finish and colour sample approval.
- Lead time, delivery access (stairs, lift) and installation.
Common mistakes
- Starting production before the client signs the drawing.
- Not mentioning natural variation in wood grain and colour.
- Forgetting stair carry or wall fixings, then charging extra.
Deposit, balance and validity
50% deposit before materials are ordered is common for made-to-order work, with the balance on delivery. Quotes are usually valid for 30 days; changes after cutting are charged at cost.
Questions people ask
Is the deposit refundable?
Say clearly that the deposit covers materials and design and is not refundable once production starts.
How long is a typical lead time?
Write your actual lead time in weeks from drawing approval, not from the order date.
Do I include installation?
List it as its own line so the client can see it and compare.
