What to put on the quote
- Subject, level, goals and lesson length.
- Package size, price per lesson and validity period.
- Online or in person, and travel charges.
- Cancellation notice, make-up lessons and refunds.
Common mistakes
- No cancellation notice, so last-minute cancellations are unpaid.
- Packages with no expiry date.
- No progress reporting, so the parent cannot see value.
Deposit, balance and validity
Packages paid in advance, valid for 2–3 months. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice count as a lesson. Unused lessons refunded pro rata if the package is ended early, minus any discount.
Questions people ask
What if a lesson is cancelled?
Set a notice period (e.g. 24 hours) and say whether a make-up is offered.
Do packages expire?
Give a validity period so the schedule stays regular.
Can I refund unused lessons?
Write the refund rule, e.g. pro rata at the single-lesson price.
