What to put on the quote
- Camera locations and what each one covers.
- Resolution, night vision range and recording days.
- Cable routes, mounting height and access equipment.
- App setup, handover training and warranty.
Common mistakes
- Selling camera count instead of coverage.
- Not stating how many days of footage the drive holds.
- Forgetting ladders or lifts for high mounts.
Deposit, balance and validity
Deposit 30–50% to order equipment, balance on handover. Estimates valid 14–30 days. Optional yearly maintenance quoted separately.
Questions people ask
How many days of recording?
Depends on cameras, resolution and drive size. Put the estimated days on the quote.
Do I set up the phone app?
Include it as a line; clients value it and it avoids later call-outs.
Privacy rules?
Remind clients that cameras must not cover neighbours or public areas beyond what local rules allow.
