Drone Photography Quote Template

Real estate listings, construction progress, roof and solar checks and event openers all call for aerial shots. What separates them from a ground shoot is everything before take-off: airspace checks or authorization, a backup weather day and insurance, so those go on their own lines.

What to put on the quote

  • Address, what must be captured (roof, lot lines, fixed progress angles) and stills, video or both.
  • Whether the site needs an airspace authorization or sits near crowds and roads, and who arranges it and the property owner’s permission.
  • Weather policy: the backup date, the wind limit and what happens if the backup date is grounded too.
  • The pilot’s certification, the liability cover carried and whether the client must be named on a certificate.
  • Usage: listing only, marketing or resale to a third party; edited files only or raw files too.

Common mistakes

  • Promising a date before checking the airspace, then waiting on an authorization that does not arrive in time.
  • No weather clause, so a windy morning turns into an unpaid second trip.
  • Arriving at a construction site without knowing who on site must be told, and being stopped at the gate.
  • Handing over raw 4K files at a listing price, and the client passes them to the developer for an ad campaign.

Deposit, balance and validity

30% to book the flight date, balance on delivery of the edited files. If weather or an airspace restriction grounds the flight, it moves to the backup date at no charge; a client cancellation within 48 hours of the flight is charged the travel cost. Quote valid for 30 days.

Questions people ask

Can the shot pass over the neighbours’ houses?

The route and angles are planned before the day. If a shot needs to cross other property, we discuss it with you first.

What happens if it rains on the day?

The flight moves to the backup date in the quote, and you are not charged twice for the move.

How soon do I get the photos?

Edited stills usually within 2–3 business days, video within a week; rush delivery is a separate line.

Can I use the footage in a TV ad?

Only if the usage line says so. Broadcast or paid-ad use is priced above a listing licence.
