Hair & Makeup Quote Template

Freelance hair and makeup artists are booked for a whole morning or a whole day, not one service. Price the trial, the bride’s look, the hours you stay for touch-ups and look changes, and every extra face, then add the early-call and travel lines a 5 a.m. start in another town needs.

What to put on the quote

  • Start time, number of faces and the chair order, so the bride finishes last but on schedule.
  • Looks included (ceremony, reception change, veil or headpiece off) and the time you leave.
  • Products and add-ons: lashes, airbrush, hairpieces, and whether the client brings extensions.
  • What you need on site: a table by a window or a daylight lamp, a tall chair and an outlet.
  • Travel, parking, and a hotel night for destination weddings.

Common mistakes

  • Booking eight faces into a two-hour window with one artist.
  • Agreeing to “stay a little for photos” without an hourly rate.
  • Skipping the allergy and skin-sensitivity questions before the trial.
  • Holding a peak-season Saturday on a verbal yes.

Deposit, balance and validity

A 30–50% retainer to book the date is non-refundable and comes off the final bill; the balance is due on the wedding morning before work starts. Faces added within 7 days depend on availability, and time past the agreed stay-on is billed per hour. Quote valid for 14 days.

Questions people ask

How long does the bride’s look take?

Plan 90 minutes to 2 hours for hair and makeup together, longer for a heavy updo or several hairpieces.

Do I need a trial?

It is optional but worth it: the trial fixes the look and the products, so the wedding morning has no surprises.

Can you stay through the reception?

Yes, as stay-on hours on the quote. Many brides book through the first dance for a second look.

What if my skin reacts to a product?

Tell us about allergies before the trial; we patch test then and note the products we will use on the day.
