What to put on the quote
- Plan or sketch, plant list with sizes and quantities.
- Site access, removal of existing turf and spoil disposal.
- Plant guarantee period and what voids it (no watering).
- Optional maintenance plan priced separately.
Common mistakes
- Not stating plant sizes, so the client expects mature plants.
- Ignoring difficult access that doubles the labor.
- Guaranteeing plants without care instructions.
Deposit, balance and validity
25–50% deposit to book the crew and order plants, balance on completion. Estimates valid for 30 days, or for the planting season, since plant availability changes.
Questions people ask
Should I guarantee plants?
A short guarantee (e.g. 3–6 months) with watering conditions is common. Write the conditions.
How do I price difficult access?
Add a separate line for manual carry or small machinery so the client sees why.
Can I offer maintenance on the same quote?
Yes, as an optional line with a monthly price.
