Motorcycle Repair Estimate Template

Riders bring a bike in for one noise and often leave with a list. Keep flat-rate jobs such as tire mounting apart from hourly diagnosis, give an arrival date for parts on order, and price the trailer run when the bike cannot be ridden in.

What to put on the quote

  • Make, model, year, VIN and mileage, plus what the rider reported.
  • Flat-rate jobs and hourly diagnosis on separate lines.
  • Parts: OEM or aftermarket, in stock or on order with an expected arrival date.
  • Tires or parts the customer brings, and that their warranty stays with the seller.
  • Pickup distance, how extra work gets approved and storage after the ready notice.

Common mistakes

  • Mounting tires bought online and getting blamed when one is years old or the wrong size.
  • A bike sitting on the lift for weeks waiting for an imported part, with no lead time in writing.
  • Fixing only the reported noise and handing back worn brake pads you saw and never mentioned.
  • Driving out to a bike that will not start and not charging for the trip.

Deposit, balance and validity

Special-order parts take a 50% deposit; everything else is paid at pickup. Extra work found during the job is quoted by phone or text and done only after approval. Bikes not collected within 7 days of the ready notice are charged storage. Estimate valid for 30 days.

Questions people ask

Can I bring my own tires?

Yes, for a mounting fee. We check the date code and size first, and the tire warranty stays with the seller.

How long will parts take for an older or imported bike?

The estimate gives an expected arrival date, and we call if it slips before the bike waits any longer.

Is it worth fixing a bike that sat all winter?

Often a battery, fuel system clean and fresh fluids are enough. We price those first and stop to ask before anything bigger.
