What to put on the quote
- Make, model, size class and paint condition at drop-off, with photos.
- Correction stages and what they will not remove: scratches through the clear coat stay.
- Coating product, number of layers, stated durability and what voids its warranty.
- Days in the shop, cure time and aftercare, such as no automatic car washes for the first weeks.
- Maintenance visits: included in the price or charged per visit.
Common mistakes
- Giving a flat phone price, then finding swirl marks and old wax that double the polishing time.
- Promising that every scratch will disappear.
- One price for all sizes, so a full-size truck pays the sedan rate.
- Handing the car back the same day and taking the blame when rain spots the uncured coating.
Deposit, balance and validity
A 25% deposit to book the bay, balance at pickup after a walk-around under the lights. Rescheduling with less than 48 hours notice forfeits the deposit. The coating warranty follows the product maker and requires the maintenance visits. Quote valid for 14 days.
Questions people ask
How long do you keep the car?
Two to four days for correction and coating, because the coating cures indoors before the car leaves.
Will a ceramic coating stop rock chips?
No. It resists light wash marks and makes cleaning easier; chip protection needs paint protection film, quoted separately.
Does a new car need paint correction?
Often a light one. Transport and lot washing leave fine scratches and iron fallout that would be sealed under the coating.
