Amounts are examples before tax, not price advice. Add sales tax or VAT where it applies.
What to put on the quote
- Make, model, IMEI or serial, and condition at drop-off: cracks, dents, cameras, Face ID or Touch ID.
- Part grade for each repair: original, refurbished original or aftermarket.
- Whether data stays on the phone, and a request to back up first.
- Repair time, and what happens if the board turns out to be damaged too.
- Parts and labor warranty, and what voids it (a new drop, liquid).
Common mistakes
- Opening the phone without testing it first, then being blamed for a camera or speaker that was already dead.
- Quoting a screen without saying it is aftermarket, then arguing about color and touch response.
- Promising a water-damaged phone will be saved.
- An insurance quote with no model, IMEI or damage description, so the claim is sent back.
Deposit, balance and validity
Paid on collection; parts ordered in for older or unusual models take a 50% deposit. Diagnosis is credited in full if the customer goes ahead with the repair. Parts and labor carry a 90-day warranty that excludes new drops and liquid. Quote valid for 14 days.
Questions people ask
Will I lose my photos?
Screen and battery swaps normally leave data untouched, but back up first; water and board repairs can end in data loss.
Can I get a written quote for my insurance claim?
Yes. It lists the model, IMEI, damage and repair cost, and can state that the phone is beyond economic repair when that is the case.
Why does an original screen cost so much more?
Original panels cost more to buy. Aftermarket ones are cheaper but can differ in brightness, color and touch feel, so the quote shows both.
