Custom T-Shirt Printing Quote Template
Teams, schools, companies and bands ordering shirts in bulk compare the price per shirt, but that number only means something next to the screen setup fee, the ink colours and the print locations. Quote those as separate lines and show the next quantity break.

What to put on the quote
- Garment brand and style, colour, fabric weight and the size breakdown (how many S, M, L, XL).
- Print method (screen print, DTF or heat transfer, direct-to-garment), ink colours per location and print size.
- Who provides the artwork, in what format, and whether redrawing or vectorizing is charged.
- Mock-up approval, the date production starts and the in-hands date, with any rush fee.
- How misprints and faulty blanks are handled, and whether the count can come in one or two short.
Common mistakes
- Quoting a six-colour design as screen print for 20 shirts, where the setup cost wipes out the margin.
- Taking the order before the size list is final, then reordering blanks in a hurry.
- Printing a low-resolution logo pulled off a website and being blamed for the blurry edges.
- Not checking that a client-supplied polyester shirt can take the heat press, and scorching it.
Deposit, balance and validity
50% deposit with the order, balance before pickup or shipping. Production starts once the mock-up and the size list are approved in writing; changes after that are a new order. Quote valid for 14 days because blank garment prices and stock change.
Questions people ask
Why does a small order cost so much more per shirt?
Each colour needs its own screen, and that setup costs the same for 12 shirts or 200. For small runs, DTF or direct-to-garment usually works out cheaper.
Can I mix sizes and shirt colours in one order?
Sizes mix freely. A different shirt colour may need a different ink base, so it can be priced as a separate run.
Will the print crack after washing?
Screen prints cured at the right temperature last many washes; care instructions (wash inside out, no hot tumble dry) come with the order.
How long does an order take?
Typically 7–10 business days from mock-up approval, with shipping on top.
