Electrical Estimate Template
Electrical estimates are sent by licensed electricians to homeowners, landlords and general contractors. Most customers cannot tell a breaker from a subpanel, so the estimate has to say what is installed, at what rating, and whether the permit, inspection and drywall patching are in the price.
No sign-up. Totals, tax and deposit are worked out for you; print it or save it as a PDF.

What to put on the quote
- Each device and circuit with its rating: breaker size, wire gauge, outlet type (GFCI, AFCI, 20 A).
- Who supplies fixtures and the charger, and that client-supplied items carry only the maker’s warranty.
- Permit, inspection and any utility coordination, with the fees shown separately.
- Access assumptions (open attic, crawl space, finished walls) and whether drywall patching and paint are excluded.
- The workmanship warranty period, kept apart from manufacturer warranties.
Common mistakes
- Quoting an EV charger circuit before checking that the panel has spare capacity.
- Pricing wire runs through finished walls as if the attic were open.
- Leaving the permit off, then absorbing the fee and the second inspection trip.
- Showing labor and material as one number, so every change becomes a guess.
Deposit, balance and validity
Jobs over $1,000 take a 30% deposit on signing to order the panel and materials; the balance is due when the work passes inspection. Conditions found behind walls are billed at the hourly rate only after you approve. Estimate valid for 30 days.
Questions people ask
Do I need a panel upgrade for an EV charger?
Not always. A load calculation shows whether the existing panel can take a 240 V circuit; if not, the upgrade is quoted as a separate option.
Why is the permit a separate line?
Permit fees are set by the city and vary by job, so we show them as they are rather than hiding them in labor.
Can I buy the light fixtures myself?
Yes. Client-supplied fixtures are installed at the per-fixture rate; our warranty covers the wiring, and the fixture is covered by its maker.
