Flyer Distribution Quote Template

Sent by distribution teams to local businesses, real estate agents and franchises that want a neighborhood covered. The client pays per piece but is really buying coverage, so the quote names the area, the household count, how houses and apartments are handled and how delivery is proven.

What to put on the quote

  • Target area by route, ZIP or radius, with the household count it adds up to.
  • Which homes are covered: houses only, apartments where management allows, and what is skipped.
  • Format and placement: door hanger, banded flyer or bag, always on the door, never in mailboxes.
  • Drop week, the weather rule and how proof is delivered (GPS tracks, photos).
  • Whether printing is included, and the deadline for print-ready files.

Common mistakes

  • Promising full coverage of complexes that do not allow distribution.
  • No GPS or photo proof, so the client cannot tell whether the routes were walked.
  • Pricing per piece with no minimum order, then sending a crew out for 500 flyers.

Deposit, balance and validity

Deposit 50% to book the drop week, balance when the GPS report is delivered. Counts are reported per route; pieces that could not be placed (gated streets, no-flyer signs) are listed and not charged. Rain moves the drop by up to 3 business days. Quote valid for 30 days.

Questions people ask

How many doors can you cover in a day?

A walker covers roughly 400–800 houses a day in suburbs, fewer on hilly or rural routes; the quote gives the drop window.

How do I know the flyers were delivered?

Each walker carries a GPS tracker, and you receive the route map and photos with the final invoice.

What response rate should I expect?

It varies widely by offer and area, so no rate is promised. Many clients test one route first and compare before ordering a larger drop.
